Greg Hands MP has been named Patron of Azbuka<\/strong>, the UK\u2019s First\nRussian-English bilingual primary school, in a move that reflects growing\nendorsement of the foundation\u2019s approach to bilingual education.
\n
\n\u201cI love everything bilingual,\u201d he said, praising Azbuka\u2019s fast growth in recent\nyears in its new home in Hammersmith. \u201cI am honoured to be their new patron.\u201d

\nMr Hands, who represents Chelsea & Westminster in the House of Commons,\nagreed to take on the role during a meeting in parliament with Maria Gavrilova,\nthe founder, Jason Manning, the governor, and Marion Schumann, former\nCouncillor and Mayor of Lambeth and a \nRussian-speaking adviser to Azbuka and fundraiser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Hands\nhimself speaks several European (including Slavic languages) has
\nbrought his own children to Azbuka in the past.

\nMaria Gavrilova, head of Azbuka, said: \u201cWe are delighted to welcome Greg Hands\nas patron, reflecting his commitment to our vision of bilingual education.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
